I’m here to help you feel better — with therapy that’s honest, supportive, and grounded in real experience.
Hi I’m Gabriel
I’m a bilingual (English & Spanish) Licensed Clinical Social Worker, licensed in the state of Florida, with over a decade of experience walking alongside teens (13+) and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and life transitions. I’ve spent my career creating supportive, judgment-free spaces where people can begin to feel understood and empowered to take meaningful steps forward.
My therapeutic style is compassionate, honest, and practical. I believe therapy should feel like a conversation that helps you breathe easier, think more clearly, and feel more like yourself again, even when things are hard.
About Gabriel
Background & Experience
I earned my Master of Social Work from Florida International University and have worked in a variety of settings, including addiction treatment centers, public schools, colleges, and private practice. I have specialized experience supporting adults and young adults with anxiety, depression, grief, adjustment disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and ADHD.
My training includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT). These evidence-based approaches help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, behaviors, and emotions , and build tools for lasting change.
In every session, I aim to balance structure and flexibility, creating space for clients to explore what matters most while staying focused on achievable, meaningful goals.
How I help my Clients
My work centers on helping clients understand and gently shift the thoughts and beliefs that contribute to emotional distress. Whether we’re working through anxiety, chronic self-doubt, or the lingering effects of trauma, I guide clients in identifying patterns, developing healthier ways of thinking, and building emotional resilience.
If you tend to be hard on yourself or feel overwhelmed by negative self-talk, we’ll explore those patterns together, and practice responding to yourself with more compassion. I may introduce mindfulness tools, gentle reframing techniques, or even invite you to try speaking to yourself the way you would speak to a younger version of you.
For clients who need practical, goal-oriented support, I often use solution-focused techniques to help you move forward in small, steady steps. You don’t have to have it all figured out. We’ll work together to clarify what matters to you and build on the strengths you already have.
What Sets Me Apart
I understand that coming to therapy can feel vulnerable, especially when motivation is low or you’re not sure where to begin. My role is to meet you there, with patience, empathy, and real support.
What sets me apart is my ability to hold space for what’s heavy without judgment while also helping you build a life that feels more manageable, meaningful, and connected. I’m highly skilled in treating depression, anxiety, and trauma, and I bring years of experience helping clients navigate these challenges with real, lasting results. I don’t believe in quick fixes, I believe in meaningful, sustainable change. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just unsure where to begin, I’m here to guide and support you on your journey.
